Medical Appliance Technicians

AI design tools are accelerating medical appliance development and automated manufacturing systems handle some high-volume component production, but custom fitting of orthopedic appliances, hearing aids, and prosthetic components requires skilled human technicians. Fabricating devices to individual patient prescriptions, bench-fitting for comfort and function, and quality inspection of safety-critical medical devices are human tasks.
